WD – WATER REDUCIBLE ALKYD ENAMEL

For ferrous metals, under the hood auto parts, machines, material handling equipment, etc., where only a solvent base paint could previously be used.

PROPERTIES & ADVANTAGES – A water reducible alkyd enamel which develops excellent adhesion, is fast drying and has good durability. May be applied over unpainted steel. If a two coat system is desired, TCB Water Dispersed Oxide Primer is recommended although any good metal primer will suffice. May be forced dryed or baked.

FINISH – Gloss – Semi-gloss – Flat

COLOR – As desired.

SPREADING RATE – 350 sq. ft. per gallon at .05 mils dry film thickness.

DRYING TIME (AIR DRY) – To touch – 30 minutes. To handle – 1 hour. Maximum hardnes – 24 to, .48 hours.

THINNING – Water

SURFACE PREPARATION – Surface should be clean, dry and free of any loose scaly paint.

APPLICATION – Spray, dip or brush.

FLASH POINT – NONE

PACKAGING – 1 gallon – 5 gallons – 55 gallon drums

PAINT STABILITY – 6 – 8 Months

CLEVELAND HUMIDITY Q. STEEL TEST – Passes 100 Hours

CROSSHATCH ADHESION TEST – Pass

SALT SPRAY TEST – Passes 100 Hours
