PLASTICOTE

Interior or exterior surfaces of wood, metal, cement blocks, plaster and drywall materials where subject to abnormal wear and repeated Washings.

PROPERTIES & ADVANTAGES – Plasticote Enamel is a two component polyester coating similar to application procedures to epoxy finishes. It is highly resistant to many chemicals and has excellent adhesion and color retention and dries to an exceptionally high brilliant gloss. Recommended for areas of heavy abuse and washings and for main- taining sterile and sanitary conditions in hospitals, nurseries, schools, public housing and public buildings.

FINISH – Gloss (60 Gloss – 85+)

SPREADING RATE – 925 sq. ft. at 1 mil dry film thickness

DRYING TIME – 1-2 hours tack free 4-6 hours dry

VISCOSITY – Varies with time & temperature after intermix

THINNING – Plasticote Reducer

SURFACE PREPARATION – Surface must be clean, dry and free of all loose scaly paint. Due to Plasticote’s excellent adhesion qualities, it may be used as its own primer on most surfaces. Bare metal can be primed with TCB Epoxy Metal Primer, followed by 1 or 2 coats of Plasticote as required. Unpainted wood, plaster and masonry need no other primer. Previously painted surfaces may be painted directly over if they are completely dry, hard and adhering tightly. Mix equal amounts by volume of Plasticote and Plasticote Activator. Stir thoroughly and let stand for 30 minutes prior to using. Plasticote has a pot life of approximately 16 hours @70° F. after mixing.
