As an intermediate coat for enamels over wall board, drywall, plaster, wood, metal and most all interior surfaces.
PROPERTIES & ADVANTAGES – Enamel Undercoat has good filling properties, provides maximum hiding and is very easy to sand. An alkyd resin material.
FINISH – Flat (600 Gloss – 5-10)
COLORS – White – (May be tinted to desired shade)
SPREADING RATE – 450 sq. ft. at 1.5 mils dry film thickness
DRYING TIME – 3 hours tack free – 12 hours recoat
VISCOSITY – 60 – 70 KU
THINNING – Mineral Spirits
SURFACE PREPARATION – Surface must be clean, dry and free of grease, wax, dust and rust. Unpainted plaster and wood should have one coat of TCB Pigmented Sealer followed by 1 coat TCB Enamel Undercoat and sanded smooth before finish coat. Metal should have proper shop coat primer followed by same procedure. Repaint work should have gloss dulled by sanding or steel wood before covering with Enamel Undercoat. If cracked, checked or peeling exists, follow directions for new work.
